the in-distinctive warmly glowing place of sacrifice

but cold, white, infinite, towering giants
sleepless and aware
keeping on ever boundlessly
i must reach the top
if only to look down to where i've been before

all but one leads to unspeakable horror
one thousand tress seem to ensnare me
and keep me from that which i had set out to acquire
